These Terms govern your use of Cohere on iPhone and Android. By creating an account, signing in, or continuing without an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Cohere is a local-first notes app. Your notes are stored on your device. Optional cloud sync (Firebase) lets you keep the same notes on more than one device when you sign in with the same account.
Cohere is sold as a one-time paid app for $3.99 USD (or local equivalent) through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There is no recurring subscription and no in-app unlock purchase required to use the core notes features after you buy the app.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Cohere on devices tied to your store account, subject to Apple’s and Google’s standard store terms.
You own the notes and files you create in Cohere. You grant Nova Spes LLC only the limited rights needed to operate optional sync (store and transmit your data to your signed-in account). We do not claim ownership of your notes.
Do not misuse Cohere or our services (for example: attempt to break security, overload sync, or use the app for unlawful content). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your sign-in session, wipes local Cohere data on that device, and—when Firebase is configured—deletes your Auth user and associated cloud notes/files for that account. This cannot be undone.
Cohere is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nova Spes LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Notes apps can lose data if a device fails or sync is misconfigured; keep your own backups of anything important.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nova Spes LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of notes, profits, or data, arising from your use of Cohere. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Cohere (typically $3.99 USD).
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above.
